What the hell were they thinking?" People are indeed responsible for their own actions. But when you take advantage of the ignorant and the dirt poor, it’s not only disingenuous to hold them to middle class standards, it’s very, very dangerous. A number of the ‘brightest and best’ in Congress went through a little experiment a couple years back, trying to live just one month on minimum wage.
