ChatGPT is involved here, because there’s really no other source than artificial intelligence to scan the statistics upon so broad an issue. Along with that disclosure, I readily admit my prejudice that “statistics will admit to anything, if sufficiently tortured.”

With both those issues in mind, off we go…

The ‘prompt’ for Chat was, “give me a list of things the American public is 60% against,” and its immediate response was, “If you mean issues where roughly six in ten Americans oppose a policy, proposal, or action, here are some recent examples.”

Fair enough.

  • Unfavorable view of Benjamin Netanyahu: 59% have no confidence in him; 60% view Israel unfavorably in a recent Pew survey.

  • U.S. military action in Cuba: 61% opposed.

  • U.S. military action in Mexico: 60% opposed.
